# Pallet Rack & Warehouse Storage in Ranchitos Las Lomas, TX

Ranchitos Las Lomas lies along SH-359 east of Laredo, on the highway toward Hebbronville, Alice and Corpus Christi. The corridor includes oilfield-service and food-distribution buildings, so a storage plan may need both long-material support and direct pallet access.

We distinguish pipe, wellhead parts and food inventory before placing rack rows. Cantilever, selective pallet rack and cooler storage solve different handling tasks. A shared building can accommodate those tasks only when their loading faces and retrieval paths have been drawn deliberately.

## Food-distribution pallets need a separate specification

For cooler storage, tell us the operating temperature, wash-down exposure, pallet construction and loaded weight range. New components are selected for that environment. The load height and forklift reach still determine beam elevations; refrigerated storage does not remove the need for a workable aisle.

Food with different release or retrieval requirements should not share a deep lane by default. Selective positions offer individual access. Where repeated quantities justify density, compare lane depth and rotation with the actual stock rather than assume every food shipment requires the same system.

## SH-359 oilfield materials and the cantilever face

Las Lomas Industrial Park covers about 77 acres at S. Aviators Road on SH-359, roughly 2.6 miles east of Loop 20. It is close to Laredo International Airport and FTZ No. 94. Those locations explain the mix of service and distribution activity along the corridor.

The South Texas Oil & Gas Industrial Park occupies about 33 acres at 5702 TX-359. Other oilfield-service terminals also line the highway east of Laredo. For pipe or long parts feeding those tasks, cantilever support points are set from length, bundle weight and lifting method.

## Wellhead parts are not all handled as long loads

Some oilfield components belong on pallets rather than cantilever arms. Provide the packaged dimensions and maximum weight of each handling unit. Heavy or irregular parts need a storage position matched to their support and retrieval requirements, not a nominal bay selected from an unrelated load.

We review the forklift’s placement geometry, mast reach and turn into each face. Smaller parts can use industrial shelving systems where they are picked by hand. Keep those locations out of the path needed to maneuver a long bundle or retrieve a loaded pallet.

## Plan the service-building handoffs

Tenants along the corridor mix oilfield and wellhead services, food distribution and build-to-suit service buildings. That does not make their inventory interchangeable. The drawing identifies where incoming material is checked, where it waits and which storage group receives it after that step.

For an installation or relocation, explain which operating areas can be cleared. Component staging is assigned its own location and sequence. A destination building’s clear height, unloading point and handling routes are checked before row lengths are finalized, so the rack plan follows the work rather than the highway address alone.

For a mixed service operation, note which components are handled together and which need independent selection. Those differences help define receiving handoffs and storage groups before the available building space is divided.

## Warehouse Racking Questions

What type of pallet rack fits my inventory in Ranchitos Las Lomas?

Selective teardrop rack is the starting point for mixed SKUs needing individual pallet access. Pushback stores 2–6 pallets deep, LIFO by SKU; pallet flow serves FIFO or dated stock; drive-in serves bulk quantities with few SKUs. Cantilever supports long loads and carton flow serves case picking. Tell us the stock groups, pallets per group and retrieval order before deciding whether one system or a combination fits. For Ranchitos Las Lomas food and oilfield buildings, separate cooler pallets from long-material handling.

What aisle width does my forklift need?

Aisle width is set by the lift truck and loaded pallet, not by rack depth alone. Counterbalance trucks typically need about 12–13 feet, reach trucks about 8–10 feet and very-narrow-aisle trucks about 5–6 feet. These are starting ranges, not a substitute for your truck specification. Send the model and real load dimensions; we check row-end turns as well as travel between storage faces.

Do you arrange pallet rack installation?

Yes. We coordinate design, supply and installation with experienced installation crews we schedule and manage. Send building measurements, pallet sizes, maximum loads and the forklift model to start the layout. We then agree on component unloading, available work zones and the installation sequence. Receiving and stock movement are reviewed with you so the installation scope matches the areas that can be made ready.

## Put a rack layout behind your next move.

Share pallet sizes, load weights and forklift details. Tell us the clear height. Let’s plan the storage around your operation.
